We don't usually do bathroom remodels unless they are part of a larger scope of work, but this owner was a long time friend. The owner of this project wanted to replace the cabinet primarily as the existing bathroom vanity and cabinet were only 32" tall. For there two boys who are over six feet tall, that almost puts them on there knees to brush there teeth. Mountain Modern Design+Build removed the existing cabinet and countertop, and installed a Lifeproof® brand waterproof luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring system instead of the sheet vinyl that definitely was outdated and did not do the hardwood floors throughout the home any justice (see preconstruction pictures below). The cabinet was prefabricated but we can custom design and build just about anything you want and have great vendor contacts as well who do a great job too. The new cabinet, as the owner pointed out being not quite as wide (it was actually only about three inches different) opened up the bathroom just a little more.
The existing bathroom was in good shape and perfectly functional. But the two boys who used this bathroom primarily are over six feet tall and a 32" high countertop is just to low to the ground.
